Description |
| Summary:
Develops tactical and strategic sales strategies for achieving Company sales goals and business objectives. Provide overall direction for the sales organization in executing business plans and meeting targeted sales for the respective regions, product lines, market segments and sales channels. Prepares forecasts for the sales organization to identify progress toward goals and manage resource allocation. Ensures professional business relations exist with customers, third parties, and other internal and external contacts. Directs, trains, and appraises personnel.
Sales Management
Develops and oversees, in coordination with Executive Management, short and long-term tactical and strategic sales strategies for achieving sales goals and business objectives. Provides overall direction for the sales organization in executing business plans and meeting targeted sales for the respective regions, product lines, market segments and sales channels.
Maintains in-depth knowledge of Company products and services, operations, and systems. Designs strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and ensures that strategic plans complement market place needs.
Prepares forecasts for the sales organization to identify progress toward goals and manage resource allocation. Updates and monitors the feasibility of strategic plans on an on-going basis.
Formulates the sales budget. Ensures sales activities are cost effective, efficient, and within established budget constraints. Ensures sales plans, goals, and policies are consistent with established Company-wide goals.
Ensures all sales and business development interactions are professional, effective, and mutually beneficial to both the third party and the Company.
Business Development
Assumes responsibility for developing new market opportunities including the capture of new customers. Maintains a current knowledge of industry trends, opportunities, channels, products, and competitors to support business development opportunities.
Networks with industry leaders and builds relationships to faciliate expanded sales opportunities.
Aids in the development of marketing communications to promote the sale of new and existing company products, including trade show events and exhibits, advertising and sales aids.
Assesses the effectiveness of existing sales channels, dealers and representatives to maximize market and account penetration. Initiates changes, as necessary, to provide optimal coverage for all product lines.
Ensures all sales activities are in accordance with established Company standards, and resources spent are cost effective and result in productive business relationships.
Staff Management
Operates as hands on sales executive to include actual direct sales activities in key accounts. Provides leadership to sales personnel through effective objective setting, delegation, communication and coaching. Conduct sales meetings as required.
Ensures sales force levels are appropriate and reps are effectively utilized. Conducts interviews and assists with hiring personnel as needed.
Trains, directs, and coordinates sales staff personnel. Provides regular instruction regarding technology, products and services, pricing, procedure, and product changes.
Sets performance standards for sales personnel. Conducts performance appraisals. Provides suggestions for improved performance. Formulates and implements associate corrective actions as needed.
Conducts regular reviews of sales activities and effectiveness. Provides recommendations regarding improvements in sales and service delivery, programs, and procedures.
Ensures that sales incentive plans are in alignment with Company plans and business strategies. Develops sales promotions and incentives to increase sales and improve performance.

Requirements |
| Skills and Abilities Required:
1. Proven success winning new customers.
2. Proven sales leadership in all aspects of sales account development, management, training and closing.
3. Excellent communication skills, with the capability of articulating the companys ongoing strategic product/market vision to customers and into sound sales and marketing plans and processes.
4. Exceptional prospecting, relationship building, and closing skills with the ability to work independently and be creative in identifying and developing relationships with elected officials and staff.
5. Strong track record of achieving results individually and through others
6. Candidates will have broad knowledge and experience in solutions oriented selling with a consultancy value added approach to specific industry and customer needs.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally with customers and company staff.
8. Understanding and experience utilizing sales and marketing tools in the sales process
9. Outstanding formal presentation skills are essential. Strong PC/Organizational skills required.
10. Must have the ability to motivate and coach sales staff. Able to provide leadership and direction to members of sales team.
11. Commitment to excellence, integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
12. Excellent work history and attendance record required.
13. The ability to travel approximately 50% on overnight stays.
Education and Experience Required:
3 to 7 years of software/technology sales experience and staff management experience with a background in government sales preferred. Bachelors degree in business administration or related subject desirable.
Experience in software, services and technology companies preferred. Experience with workflow processes and record management highly desired. Experience in land title industry a plus.
